A cenotaph is an empty tomb or a monument erected in honour of a person or group of people whose remains are elsewhere. It can also be the initial tomb for a person who has since been reinterred elsewhere.
Story Overview[]
Alithea has long-held hatred of Virton since his actions during To Coexist is to Surrender. The annihilation of a huge mass of Acheron, along with the partial destruction of the Anicetus Titan/city, inevitably birthed Alithea for vengeance. Now, Alithea returns to the surface of Acheron, where Virton hovers high above the destroyed Anicetus. The omnipresent sensory abilities of Titanborn, Titan Guards and Banshees are all sparked once Alithea sets foot on Acheron. Alithea knows that the only way to face Virton is to kill his most valuable warriors.
Amyntas takes the Daedalus Titan from the Erebus Bridge and crashes it into Virtons's Titan in Spasms of Human Tragedy. This forces Virton to confront Alithea on the field, yet the fire created from the impact sends waves of fire towards her. Just in time, Hydrus brings a huge storm of water and waves to confront the fire. The fire and water clash together, allowing both Alithea and Virton to close distance without harm. They both then stand face to face, protected by elements that represent them. Once the 'storm falls' the duel begins. Broken Matter Manipulation is a rhythmic representation of combat. Alithea is victorious, yet dangerously wounded. Much like Amyntas was during To Coexist is to Surrender. She then calls for her starship, Nefeli, to save her. Much like how she and Nefeli saved Amyntas from rotting into the soil of Acheron.
